August 12 - Rock Garden Society Lectures

Dwarf Daphnes in Pam Johnson's rock garden.

The Saturday, August 12th meeting of the Berkshire Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society (BNARGS) will feature Daphnes and more in  slide lectures, open to the public, by John Bieber and Darrel Trout. They are planning a program they describe as humorous, entertaining and educational.

John Bieber  always brings an interesting new twist to growing and appreciating Daphnes and an incredible selection of plants for sale at really good prices.

Darrell Trout is the author of two gardening books: The Kitchen Garden Planner and The Country Garden Planner. He is the past President of the Long Island Horticultural Society, is a certified nursery professional , is currently a GWA Region 1 Director and works as a freelance garden writer.

The meeting, which starts at 10:30 a.m., will be held in the Exhibit Hall at the Berkshire Botanical Garden, Route 183, Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It is free of charge and open to the public. Coffee, tea and cookies are provided; packed lunches are suggested for those staying for both lectures.
