I garden on a half acre property that is a collection of garden areas including a raised rock garden, scree beds, a woodland garden, and a wild flower garden. There is always something of interest in the yard, even in winter. My plant nursery is located where my deck used to be. I spend much more time in this area where I grow my nursery stock than I ever did on my deck.

I am a first generation gardener who took up gardening as a hobby after my husband and I bought our first house together over 11 years ago. I have learned everything I know from reading good books, attending gardening group meetings, talking to other gardeners and then testing what I know in the garden. While some people bring home mugs or t-shirts as souvenirs of their travels, I like bringing home plants.
